Lawrence Dunn studied violin with David Hume in Edinburgh and Malcolm Layfield in Manchester. He gives regular solo and chamber recitals during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and throughout Scotland on both modern and baroque instruments.
As a freelance player he has performed with various orchestras including the Scottish Baroque Players, City of Glasgow Symphony Orchestra and Newcastle Baroque.
He is a member of Gladstone's Bag, Quernstane, Edinburgh Barock and Edinburgh Galante, and has been leader of the Edinburgh Light Orchestra and Edinburgh Palm Court Orchestra since 1999. He is also Director of Philomusica of Edinburgh.
Stephen Doughty spent 2 years at Napier College in Edinburgh where he was awarded an Academic Scholarship for a Bachelor of Music degree at Edinburgh University Faculty of Music. He recently graduated with a Master of Music degree from the RSAMD, Glasgow
Stephen is well-known as an accompanist, conductor and organist. In addition to solo instrumentalists, he accompanies the Ulster Youth Choir and the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
He plays harpsichord continuo with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and is an Associate of the Royal College of Organists and Director of Music at the Church of St. John the Evangelist. Princes Street, Edinburgh
